HOW TO GET TO WANAKA

Wanaka is located in the South Island of New Zealand, with three international airports in close proximity: Queenstown, Dunedin and Christchurch.
​
Queenstown Airport is the closest international gateway to the Wanaka region, with regular flights from all major Australian cities, as well as daily services from Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch, and is just a scenic 60-minute drive from Wanaka.
​
Snowboxx offers transfers from Queenstown to Wanaka. Our transfers will pick you up at the airport and take you to the arrival point in Wanaka, making your journey super easy.

HOW TO GET TO CARDRONA​
​
Getting to the mountain is easy, no matter where you’re staying! Located in the heart of the Southern Alps, Cardrona is a short drive from Wanaka, Queenstown & Arrowtown.
​
Snowboxx offers shuttle bus transfers between Wanaka and Cardrona to get you from one of the pick up points around town and up to the free shuttle service to get you onto the snow faster!

You can book your full week shuttle pass from $105pp via manage booking before the 30th August.
HOW TO GET TO TREBLE CONE​
​
Treble Cone provides their own shuttle service from multiple stops in Wanaka to the Treble Cone mountain. There is one bus a day that leaves at 7.50am to arrive at the mountain for 9am.

This service costs $35pp per day and can be booked here.
Fancy travelling light or haven't had a chance to pick up equipment yet? No problem! You can rent everything from skis and snowboards to ski clothing which will be ready for you upon arrival.
​
The equipment is well maintained with the latest automated tuner and there is a huge range, from beginner kits through to the latest and greatest skis and snowboards including twin tip skis, Burton Learn to Ride snowboards. You don’t have to travel with heavy equipment if you hire on the mountain, just make sure to book this early, because it sells out!

No Lift Pass - Just in it for the party?
Of course you are. Select the no lift pass option and you are free to experience the delights that Snowboxx has to offer from morning to morning! Additionally, there are affordable ski lessons on offer and nothing cures a hangover like the morning lift. Make sure you give it a try, Snowboxx is the perfect opportunity to learn skiing!
Heli skiing is off-trail, downhill skiing that is accessed by a helicopter. It’s about skiing in natural environments without the effort that comes with hiking to these areas. Most heli skiers are looking for powder snow, natural terrain features, long descents, smooth corn snow, old-growth tree glades and steep lines.
The helicopter acts as your lift to the top of the mountain. From here, the helicopter lands, skiers exit, put on their skis, and start their thrilling descent down the powdery mountain.
